Went there for brunch yesterday. They definitely have good variety..the service was quick the eating area was clean and the female bathroom only had one toilet but that was pretty clean as well. The price you pay for the food is pretty good! I would go back if I'm in that area again. I got Country fried steak which came with two eggs and grits for $6.75. Everything tastes good to me ;)

Had a great, quick and inexpensive breakfast at Kay's on Sunday morning this week. Apple pancakes were quite good, and the Feta/Giro omelette was very good. I have not been disappointed with breakfast at Kay's, and have been eating there for years.

Wow. Horrible service...wow, i could not imagine such bad food and service. we were definitely bothering the waitress by wanting to eat there. We asked about the preparation of the tuna salad and it was a major insult...and then tasted bad later.

Nothing special but a pretty good diner. I had steak and eggs and a biscuit and gravy. The medium rare steak arrived as ordered and the over easy eggs were actually over easy. The biscuit was a little 'puffy' I prefer mine a little more dense and flaky. But overall not too bad. Normally this would be a 4 star review but the service was slow. I ran out of coffee and water and I had to stop a waitress and ask for more. I'll be back, I'm open to upping them to 4 if the service picks up.

Can you say disgusting? Yeah, food is horrible. Service was decent, which is the only reason it is getting any stars. My food burnt to a crisp. My husband's food burnt to a crisp. Put it this way, I'd rather starve than eat there again.

Nice place for breakfast! I really liked the gyro/feta omelet. Pancakes and waffles are good too

Really more of a 2-star experience, but the service was good. Everything feels "on the cheap" here. From the extremely sticky sugar free syrup bottles on every table to the living horror of the gumball machine by the front door (Take a look at the years of encrusted filth inside it before giving Billy a quarter!) The food is OK...JUST OK. Edible. In the world of St Pete breakfast spots, almost anywhere else ranks above this spot. I guess sometimes people want a place without a wait on the weekend, so they come here (that's what we did). It served it's purpose. Cheap, quick and cafeteria-grade. Sometimes that has a place.

My family of 4 has gone to this little hole in the wall for years. We usually get breakfast and are always happy (I especially love the home fries). We usually get omelettes and I have only been disappointed once when my tomatoes tasted bad. We have gotten lunch a couple times and it was average. Very cafeteria tasting but there are gems here and there. It is inexpensive and a good value. The wait staff has never been outstandingly friendly but competent and I think, what you would expect for this type of establishment.

My sister-in-law lives in St. Pete and when we go to visit we always go to Kay's at least once, sometimes more. The staff is very friendly, especially Julie. We always sit in her section and she always takes good care of us. The food is very good and the prices are good. My suggestion is Go & Enjoy!

Extremely average, Omelet was just ok, homefries were tasteless, took 30 minutes to get my breakfast (which is kind of long for breakfast in my opinion) It was meh, probably won't be back

Holy crap. Go here today. Right now. This tiny diner is a rare gem. The prices are ridiculously cheap and the food is ridiculously good. There are daily, meal specific specials and the waitstaff are friendly and attentive. Are you on your way? You should be.
